The Willie L. Brown, Jr. Papers include Assembly Bill materials, correspondence, newspaper clippings, research files, awards, books, editorial cartoons, photographs and other materials created during his years in the California State Assembly (1965-1995).

Abstract

This collection contains materials collected by Daniel D. Feder during the 1968-1969 San Francisco State College student strike and the simultaneous and supportive faculty strike. The strike led to the creation of the San Francisco State University College of Ethnic Studies. Contains correspondence, memos, minutes, position papers, printed and handwriteen notes, newspaper articles, public statements, and other materials related to the strike.

Abstract

The Harvey Yorke Photographic Collection consists of photographs, negatives, and color slides dating from May 1967 to 1972. It includes several images relating to the San Francisco State College strike, 1968-1969, including images of campus rallies and gatherings, police presence on campus, press conferences and meetings, strike activity, Samuel Ichiye (S.I.) Hayakawa, and elected officials. There are also two audio recordings.

Abstract The materials in this collection pertain to the activities of the Hyink family (parents Lawrence Hyink, Jr. (1923-2014) and Jordice "Jordy" Hyink, and their son Lawrence Hyink, III) during the 1968-1969 student strike at San Francisco State College. Both parents served on the Parents Strike Support Committee. Lawrence Hyink Jr. served as the chairman for the committee.
